MacDougall Represents SUNY Adirondack in NJCAA National Championships - Day 1
CHAUTAUQUA, N.Y. –
SUNY Adirondack golfer Mason MacDougall teed off in the first round of the NJCAA National Golf Championships on Tuesday at Chautauqua Golf Club, hosted by Jamestown Community College. The four-day national event brings together the best collegiate golfers from across the country.
MacDougall, a standout golfer for the Timberwolves, posted a first-round score of +18, placing him inside the top 60 nationally in a highly competitive field. While not the start he hoped for, MacDougall remains focused and determined to rebound in Wednesday's second round.
The Chautauqua Golf Club course proved challenging on day one, with tough pin placements and variable weather conditions impacting scores across the board. MacDougall will aim to take advantage of the lessons learned in round one as he continues his quest for a strong finish at the national level.
The NJCAA National Golf Championships run through Friday, with cumulative scores determining the final standings.
