SUNY Adirondack Softball Falls to Illinois Valley CC
The SUNY Adirondack softball team fell to Illinois Valley Community College, 15–4, on Tuesday.
The Timberwolves came out strong early, scoring four runs in the opening inning. Cameron McClurg, Jenna Fantasia, Isabella Tucci, and Skylar Eglin each drove in runs during the frame to give Adirondack an early advantage.
Illinois Valley responded in the bottom half of the inning and continued to build momentum as the game progressed to take control of the contest.
Rebecca Campbell led SUNY Adirondack at the plate with two hits, while McClurg, Fantasia, Eglin, and Tucci each recorded an RBI. McClurg also reached base twice via walk as the Timberwolves showed patience at the plate throughout the game.
Reagan Gebo made the start in the circle for SUNY Adirondack.
The Timberwolves will look to regroup as they continue their spring schedule in upcoming action.
