Timberwolves Fall in Extra-Inning Shootout vs Corning

In one of their wildest games of the season, SUNY Adirondack came up just short in a high-scoring slugfest against Corning Community College, falling 18-17 on a walk-off double in the bottom of the seventh inning.
The Timberwolves pounded out a season-high 21 hits and held multiple leads throughout the back-and-forth contest but were edged out in the final frame. Tied at 17, Corning delivered the game-winning hit with one out to close out a doubleheader sweep.
SUNY Adirondack came out swinging, putting up three runs in the first inning and adding five more in the second behind RBI hits from Alyssa Jaffe, Emma Martens, and Maddy Wasserman. The Timberwolves continued their offensive push in the fourth with a four-run outburst, highlighted by run-scoring hits from Jaffe, Natalie Conroy, and EmmyLou Richards.
Richards had a standout day at the plate, going 3-for-5 with four RBIs. Sam Manning, Conroy, Morgan Randall, and Richards each collected three hits, while Martens, Jaffe, Wasserman, and Maddie Pincheon also chipped in with multiple hits. Adirondack also showed strong discipline at the plate, drawing six walks and stealing four bases.
Wasserman started in the circle for the Timberwolves, striking out five across 6.1 innings while allowing 10 earned runs on 17 hits.
Despite the tough loss, SUNY Adirondack's offensive performance was a bright spot, and the team showed resilience throughout the game.
