Timberwolves Shut Out in Game One at Hudson Valley

SUNY Adirondack was unable to overcome a fast start from Hudson Valley on Tuesday afternoon, falling 11-0 in the first game of a doubleheader.
The Vikings got on the board early, scoring four runs in the bottom of the first, including a three-run home run by Reegan Mullen. Hudson Valley extended its lead with a six-run second inning fueled by six hits and timely plate discipline.
Adirondack's Sam Manning went the distance in the circle, allowing 11 runs on 11 hits over four innings while striking out three. The Timberwolves were held to just two hits, with Maddy Wasserman and Alyssa Jaffe each recording a single.
Despite the loss, SUNY Adirondack played a clean game defensively, committing no errors. Marissa Jarvis led the team with five chances in the field.
Hudson Valley's Moira Collins earned the win, tossing five shutout innings and striking out eight. Mullen led the Vikings with four RBIs, while Lily Brennan and Samantha Graham added key hits in the second inning surge.
The Timberwolves will look to bounce back in the second game of the doubleheader, which is also scheduled to be played at home on Tuesday.
