QUEENSBURY, N.Y. — SUNY Adirondack men's soccer fell 5–2 to Fulton–Montgomery in Region III action on Wednesday, 10/1 despite twice taking the lead.
The Timberwolves struck first with a composed finish in the opening half to go up 1–0. Heartbreak followed at the whistle: Fulton–Montgomery leveled on a corner-kick header with two seconds remaining, sending the match to halftime at 1–1.
Early in the second half, Adrian Lunde buried a penalty to restore Adirondack's advantage at 2–1. From there, Fulton–Montgomery responded with sustained pressure and netted four unanswered goals to close out the match, 5–2.
SUNY Adirondack will regroup and turn attention to its next Region III fixture.
