Queensbury, N.Y. –
In a thrilling Region 3 matchup, the SUNY Adirondack men's soccer team earned a hard-fought 1–1 draw at home against Jefferson Community College on Saturday.
The first half featured back-and-forth play with both sides creating dangerous chances, but neither could break through as the teams entered halftime locked in a scoreless tie. Jefferson struck first early in the second half, capitalizing on an opportunity to take a 1–0 lead.
The Timberwolves continued to press and were rewarded in the closing minutes. Off a late corner kick, defender Riley Grant rose above the defense and slotted home the equalizer, sending the Adirondack bench and crowd into celebration. The timely goal secured the 1–1 result and highlighted the team's resilience.
With the draw, SUNY Adirondack moves to 3–4–1 on the season. The Timberwolves return to action Wednesday when they travel to face Herkimer College in another key Region 3 contest.
