Queensbury, NY —
The SUNY Adirondack men's soccer team fell 7–1 at home to Mohawk Valley Community College on Wednesday afternoon, but the Timberwolves demonstrated resilience and quality play in the second half that offered plenty of positives moving forward.
After a challenging opening 45 minutes in which Mohawk Valley built a commanding lead, Adirondack regrouped after halftime and responded with one of their strongest stretches of play this season. The Timberwolves moved the ball well through the midfield, maintained long spells of possession, and consistently created dangerous opportunities inside the attacking third.
Their effort was rewarded when Adirondack converted off a well-executed set piece, capitalizing on their pressure and determination. The goal energized the team and highlighted the potential of a young roster that continues to grow together early in the season.
The Timberwolves return to action next week against Clinton CC on 9/3 at 6:00 PM. The game will be played on a neutral site (Word of Life Bible Institute)
