QUEENSBURY, N.Y. —
SUNY Adirondack's golf team made a strong showing at the 2025 Region III Golf Championships, held May 13-14 at Glen Oak Golf Club and hosted by Niagara County Community College.
Leading the Timberwolves was Mason MacDougall, who carded a two-day total of 165, highlighted by a stellar 77 in the final round, earning him an individual qualifying spot at the NJCAA National Championship. McDougal's steady performance under pressure placed him among the region's top finishers and secured his spot on the national stage.
Also competing for SUNY Adirondack were Tyler Plummer, who posted a 175 over two rounds, and Chaz Colucci, who finished with a 181. Their efforts contributed to a competitive team presence in a talented field across Region III.
While SUNY Niagara claimed the team title and Eliel Rodriguez (SUNY Niagara) and Malena Stevenson (Jefferson) took top individual honors in the men's and women's divisions respectively, SUNY Adirondack celebrates MacDougal's advancement as a standout achievement for the program.
The Timberwolves wish Mason the best of luck as he heads to the NJCAA National Championship, continuing a proud tradition of competitive excellence in Adirondack athletics.
