Timberwolves Grind Out Road Win at Hudson Valley; Secure #5 Seed in Region 3 Tournament
Troy, NY —
The SUNY Adirondack men's basketball team closed the regular season with a hard-fought 62–57 road victory over a competitive Hudson Valley Community College squad on Saturday, completing the season sweep of the Vikings.
In a physical, low-scoring contest, the Timberwolves battled through offensive struggles but relied on disciplined defense and timely execution to secure the win.
Adirondack delivered one of its strongest defensive efforts of the season, holding Hudson Valley to 31% shooting from the field while forcing 17 turnovers. The Timberwolves controlled key stretches of the second half, making enough plays down the stretch to preserve the road victory.
With the win, SUNY Adirondack improves to 17–10 on the season and officially claims the #5 seed in the upcoming NJCAA Region 3 Tournament.
The Timberwolves will travel next weekend to face #4 Onondaga Community College in the opening round. Adirondack previously defeated the Lazers 118–103 earlier this season in one of the highest-scoring games of the year.
