Timberwolves Close Semester with Road Win at SUNY Ulster
Stone Ridge, N.Y. —
The SUNY Adirondack men's basketball team closed out first-semester play in strong fashion on the road, earning a 94–79 victory over SUNY Ulster on Wednesday night.
Adirondack put together one of its most efficient offensive performances of the season, shooting 11-for-20 from three-point range as a team and maintaining control throughout the contest.
Sophomore Messiah McLaurin led the Timberwolves with a complete performance, finishing with 22 points and 7 assists while setting the tone offensively. Freshman Ash Hunter provided a major spark from beyond the arc, knocking down five three-pointers on his way to 15 points. Fellow freshman David Hutchinson continued his strong play with 14 points and 9 rebounds and 4 blocks, impacting the game on both ends of the floor.
The win brings Adirondack to 7–6 at the conclusion of semester play. Despite the near-even record, the Timberwolves remain among the regional leaders in point differential, a reflection of how competitive the group has been throughout the schedule. Five of Adirondack's six losses came by four points or fewer, highlighting how close the margins have been.
Now 6–3 over their last nine games, the Timberwolves will turn their focus to a strong January run as they look to make a significant push toward postseason play.
Semester play complete, momentum building — Adirondack enters the new year confident and battle-tested.
