Men’s Basketball Drops Another Close Battle at North Country
Saranac Lake, NY —
SUNY Adirondack Men's Basketball suffered another tough loss on Wednesday night, falling 89–82 to North Country in a game that once again came down to the final minute. This marks the Timberwolves' fifth loss decided in the closing moments, as the team continues to compete wire-to-wire against top regional opponents.
Adirondack had five players finish in double figures, showing balanced scoring and strong execution on the offensive end. The Wolves also took care of the basketball for most of the night, committing only 10 turnovers, but several came at crucial moments and led directly to easy points for North Country—ultimately proving costly.
Rebounding, typically one of Adirondack's biggest strengths, also became a challenge. Second-chance opportunities for North Country made it difficult for the Wolves to string together the defensive stops they needed late in the game.
The coaching staff emphasized the team's consistent fight and the importance of finishing games. "We're right there every night," they said. "We just have to clean up the small things—late-game possessions, rebounding battles, and valuing the ball for all 40 minutes."
Adirondack looks to bounce back this weekend as they return home for another key stretch of Region III play.
