Adirondack Men’s Basketball Rides Fast Start to Dominant Win Over Broome
Queensbury, NY —
The SUNY Adirondack Men's Basketball team returned to .500 on the season (3–3) with an emphatic home victory over SUNY Broome on Saturday, winning 87–61 in front of an energetic home crowd.
The Timberwolves came out firing, opening the game on a 21–3 run fueled by unselfish offense and intense defensive pressure. Adirondack never looked back, maintaining control throughout all 40 minutes with balanced scoring and strong execution.
Freshman Mekhi Walker led all scorers with 16 points and 7 rebounds, showcasing his versatility and efficiency on both ends. JP Dickerson added another all-around effort with 15 points and 8 rebounds, while sophomore point guard Messiah "Moose" McLaurin set the tone as a playmaker, finishing with 13 points and 7 assists.
"This was a great team win," said Head Coach, Maxx Sweet. "We shared the ball, defended well, and stayed locked in from the opening tip. This is the identity we want to play with."
The Timberwolves are back in action tomorrow, November 16, as they host Tompkins Cortland Community College at 2:00 p.m. in another key Region III matchup
