Bio

Riley Orr joins the Timberwolves baseball staff in the summer of 2025, bringing a strong blend of playing and coaching experience across multiple levels of the game.

Orr most recently served as an assistant coach with the Glens Falls Dragons of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League, where he focused on pitching development, game strategy, and recruiting. He also worked extensively with the Dragons’ youth camps, instructing players in the fundamentals of hitting, pitching, and fielding while promoting sportsmanship and player growth.

Before beginning his coaching career, Orr was a standout pitcher at both the Division III and Division I levels. He spent four years competing at Castleton University (VT), where he earned Little East Conference All-Conference honors and was named the team’s MVP in 2023. He then continued his playing career at Marist College (NY), competing at the Division I level and serving as a team captain in 2025. Orr also gained high-level summer ball experience with the Glens Falls Dragons, logging over 300 collegiate innings across his career.

With his background in leadership, player development, and pitching instruction, Orr brings valuable knowledge and energy to the Timberwolves program. His experiences as both a player and coach at the collegiate and summer-league levels have equipped him with the tools to mentor athletes on and off the field.
