SUNY Adirondack Baseball Falls to Nationally Ranked Hudson Valley in Game One
TROY, NY —
SUNY Adirondack Baseball dropped the first game of a doubleheader on the road to nationally ranked Hudson Valley Community College, falling 5–0.
The Timberwolves were limited offensively throughout the contest, managing just two hits on the day. Tad D'Andrea and Ryan Gillis each recorded a hit, but Adirondack was unable to generate sustained offense against a strong Hudson Valley pitching staff.
On the mound, Jimmy Johnson turned in a solid outing, keeping the Timberwolves in the game early. The right-hander tossed 4.2 innings, holding Hudson Valley scoreless through the first three frames before allowing three runs. His effort helped Adirondack stay within striking distance despite the tough matchup.
SUNY Adirondack will look to bounce back in the second game of the doubleheader as they continue play on the road.
