Men's Basketball Continues To Develop

SUNY Adirondack Men’s Basketball took a short Thanksgiving break that had them on the court over the weekend. They matched up against Northern Essex Community College, ranked top in Region 21, in the 2nd annual NECC Turkey Classic. The Knights controlled the game with an early 11-0 run and led at the half 45-26. The struggle was real for the Timberwolves as the Northern Essex proved their dominance, outscoring Adirondack by 19 points in the second half. Final score 99-61, Northern Essex
Ben Aprilante led the Timberwolves with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Cam Majors added 11 points and pulled down 8 rebounds. Tyre Williams put up 9 points, 6 assists and had 4 rebounds.
November 26

On Day 2 of the NECC Turkey Classic, Adirondack took on Bunker Hill Community College, another Region 21 team. It was a more level playing field when the Timberwolves took on the Bulldogs. Late in the game, Adirondack had the lead but some lucky shots by Bunker Hill and some misses by Adirondack changed the tide and allowed the Bulldogs to take the lead and the win. Shandres Serrata put up 14 points, 5 rebounds and an assist, steal and block. Ben Aprilante continued to help lead the team with a double-double of 13 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals. Josh Goscinski contributed 12 points and an assist and 2 rebounds. Tyre Williams was consistent with 10 points, 1 assist and 8 rebounds.
Ben Aprilante and Cam Majors were named to the All-Tournament Team.
The Timberwolves are on the road in Regional play at Hudson Valley on Tuesday evening.
