The SUNY Adirondack Women's Softball Team finished off the 2017 season with an overall record of 10-14, but most important a 10-6 record in Region III, which was good enough for 6th place in the 18 team region. Head Coach Jack Celeste was very proud of how this season's team performed as the team overcame many injuries to have one of their most productive seasons in many years. The team had huge wins against Cayuga CC, Mohawk Valley CC, Jefferson CC and Fulton Montgomery who in recent years, have been some of the top teams in Region III. Seniors Lindsey Decker, Lauryn Zovistoski and Megan Brockway led the team in many offensive categories and will be missed. Freshman Demi Stockman, Casey Batchelder, Lizze Richards, Hannah Salmon, Allyson Woodcock, Kiersten Brown and Kait Sarti were all outstanding and are going to be counted on heavy for the 2018 season. After a very successful season Coach Celeste, who was in his 1st season, will not be satisfied with this season's success, as he looks to add to a strong roster and compete with the top teams in Region III and to participate in Regionals, in which the team came so close to making this past season. As for next season, if anyone is interested in joining the Women's Softball Team, you can contact Coach Celeste by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
