Men's Golf Rounds Out Excellent Season At Nationals
The 2017 SUNY Adirondack Varsity Golf season was very successful!  Our team either won or ranked high in tournaments throughout the season.  We won the Tompkins Cortland College Invitational with a team score of 303 and with consistently high finishes during the season, the team qualified for Regional tournament held at the Robert Trent Jones Course at Cornell University.  After two days of competition at the Regionals, the SUNY Adirondack team finished in fourth place.  Teams and individual players from this event qualify to participate in the NJCAA National Golf Championship.  Although our team did not qualify to play in  the national championship, two of our players did, Connor Marvin and David Albright.  The NJCAA National Championship was held the week of June 5-9 at Chautauqua Golf Course in Jamestown, NY.  After a grueling 72-hole event, Connor Marvin finished with a total of 320, good for a tie for 24th and David Albright finished with a total of 330 for a tie for 45thspot.

Although 2017 was very successful, Coach Carpenter is already looking forward to more success next year.   He is anticipating that five of the six players from this year's team will return next year and he has already recruited five outstanding high school players to add depth to the squad.
