Men's Golf Participates in Region III Tournament

The SUNY Adirondack Varsity Golf team recently participated in the NJCAA Region III Golf
Championship. This event was held at the Robert Trent Jones course at Cornell University and
10 colleges participated. After two days of competition, the SUNY Adirondack team finished in
fourth place with a team total of 677. Teams and players from this event qualify to participate
in the NJCAA National Golf Championship that will be held June 5-9 at Chautauqua Golf Course
in Jamestown, NY. Although our team did not qualify to move on the national championship,
two of our players did. Connor Marvin finished in 9th place with a total of 164 (84,80) and David
Albright finished in 10th place with a total of 165 (85,80) on a very challenging course under
some very challenging weather conditions. Both players received "All Region" awards at a
ceremony after the tournament and will be participating in the NJCAA national golf
championship. This is the first time in fifteen years that more than one golfer from SUNY
Adirondack has participated in this national event.
