The SUNY Adirondack baseball team had an offensive eruption this past weekend vs. Columbia Greene Community College. The Timberwolves scored a combined 43 runs, including 28 runs in their home opening doubleheader on Saturday. The game scores were 14-8, 14-2, 7-4, and 8-6. SUNY Adirondack was lead by sophmore Justin Hoagland who hit .615 with 1 homerun, 1 double, 6 RBI's, and 3 stolen bases. Aaron Cook also had a big offensive weekend. He hit .438 with 1 double, 1 triple, 4 RBI's, and 3 stolen bases. The Timberwolves are now 6-4 overall and 4-0 in Region III play. The team feels confident after playing so well following a 3 week layoff from their last game in Myrtle Beach. Coach Job said, "It was nice to see our team guys swing the bats so well after having such a big gap between games." "Pitching and defense has improved since Myrtle Beach as well," job said. Coach Job knows the team still needs to improve each day in order to reach the goals that the team set for themselves back in the fall. SUNY Adirondack's next test will be against SUNY Jefferson in Watertown, NY on April 11th. They are back at home(East Field) for a doubleheader starting at 2pm on April 13th.
