SUNY Adirondack Baseball and Basketball Teams Help With Stuff the Bus Campaign

This year's Stuff the Bus Community Service project put on by Tri-County United Way was a home run thanks to the help of two SUNY Adirondack athletic teams: the Men's Basketball Team and the Men's Baseball Team. 17 members of the Baseball team joined by Coach Casey Job and several of the Men's Basketball team met at the Kingsbury Fire Departement to help unload various canned food items off of the bus and sorted them to be distributed to local food pantries.

Sophmore Catcher Casey Chase had this to say about the event. "It was a great team building experience but we were also doing something good for our community so that we can have [them] on our side for baseball games." The Timberwolves were a huge help in this community serivce effort and the time spent volunteering off campus was enjoyable and enlightening for all. "We had fun with it," said Chase. "It's interesting seeing people out of their comfort zone helping other people."

All in all, this year's Stuff the Bus campaign was a huge success that both the SUNY Adirondack Baseball and Basketball teams played significant roles in.
